Darla has had her tonsils taken out, so the gang decides to visit her in the hospital, bringing along a bunch of goodies that they know she won't be able to eat. Alfalfa meets up with a boy who offers him a dime if he'll switch clothes with him and take his place in the hospital room. Of course, Alfalfa does, and soon finds out he's about to be operated on.
