VH1 Storytellers: Late one night in a hotel room, The Eurythmics wrote their smash song "Here Comes the Rain Again." What really happened in the tension-filled moments just before their burst of creativity? Says Dave Stewart, "I had brought a tiny little keyboard, and I was playing, and Annie started a fight with me - had a go at it, as we often do that kind of thing. I was playing a little riff, and Annie did her usual thing and went to the window and was looking out, and started singing "Here Comes the Rain again..." This episode spotlights one of rock's greatest bands as they talk about the inspiration and influence behind their long string of hits. In their first U.S. performance in 10 years, filmed in front of an intimate audience in New York City, Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox look back with humor, emotion and honesty to those times and circumstances that led them to create worldwide hits in the '80s. "We're going to be telling stories about the records," says Dave. "Annie's so nervous about me telling stories 'cause she has no idea what I'm going to say." "This is my sort-of-nightmare," adds Annie. "My nightmare is that I'm standing on the stage and I have to talk to people. Actually, I like to communicate through singing rather than talking... I'm from the northeast of Scotland, and the culture there is slightly different, and we sing different sort of songs in Scotland. I was a flute player. I thought that I wanted to be a classical musician, but when I got to the Royal Academy of Music, it really was a huge disappointment to me because I understood that I didn't belong to that tribe of people. I think that people come in cultural tribes - nothing to do with race or creeds - it has something to do with your soul."
