Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (US): Toby Moore is the returning contestant tonight. He made it all the way to $125,000 last time going for the $250,000 question, which he gets right immediately. But his $500,000 question asking what character wasn't a Pokemon (Frodo) gave him some trouble. He called for the 50:50, which left Frodo and Jigglypuff. Still unsure, Toby decided to walk away with the $250,000. Tim Reilly was next to take a million-dollar shot. He cruised up to $16,000 without a problem but needed the audience's help on his $32,000 question to figure out what presidential candidate ran for office with Geraldine Ferraro as his vice presidential running mate (Walter Mondale). Even though, it didn't come with an overwhelming majority, they got it right! Then, on his next question, which asked what everyday product took its name from the founder of antiseptic surgery (Listerine) called for a PAF. His PAF guessed right. His $125,000 question was no problem for him but he needed a 50:50 on his $250,000 question which asked what impressionist painter's of dot-like brush strokes was considered scandalous in his time (Georges Seurat). When the 50:50 (which left Seurat and Claude Monet) didn't give much help, he decided to walk away with the $125,000. Next in the hot seat is Al Metz. He made $8,000 without a single edge but he had to ask the audience on his $16,000 question asking who wrote the Harry Potter book series (JK Rowling). When the audience got that question, his next question concerning who was never a regular anchor on '60 Minutes' (Walter Cronkite) gave him a little more trouble. He needed to PAF, who gave the correct answer. He then made $125,000 all on his own but walked away after using his 50:50 on his $250,000 question asking for the collective name for a group of leopards (Leap). But if he took a shot at the question, he would have won $250,000! Oh well. Last to take a spin in the hot seat is John Carpenter. He won $200 before the buzzer went off but he will be back tomorrow.
